Colorado Sate Research Facility Features Uponor PEX plumbing, radiant heating and cooling and hydronic piping

In 2014, Colorado State University built a 65,000-square-foot energy research facility with sustainability and energy efficiency. Featuring 157,000 feet of Uponor AquaPEX® pipe and ProPEX® fittings, the decision to use PEX over traditional copper ensured easier installation and long-term durability. The facility's innovative design enables it to consume only 25% of the energy used by comparable buildings, setting a benchmark for efficiency and earning LEED® Platinum certification.
